Information update on our T.A.A. Trade Adjustment Assistance Petition.
I have received word from the Dept. Of Labor that our petition has been
approved. The letter reads as follows. This is to advise you that
pursuant to the trade Act of 1974, as amended, the U.S. Department of
Labor has issued a Certification of Eligibility to Apply for Worker
Adjustment Assistance under Section 223.
Upon receipt of this certification determination, Please visit your
local One-Stop Career Center to apply for benefits and obtain
information regarding the Trade Assistance program. You may also obtain
information about the program on the Internet at
www.doleta.gov/tradeact. If you need assistance locating the address of
the One-Stop center nearest you, Please call the 1-877-US2-JOBS toll
free number. Any questions regarding this matter please contact the
union Hall.
